What is the "Build a Website in a Week" program?
The program is an intensive experience to help you design a website together over a week. We pre-load everything you need to get started and cover the essential aspects of web design, development, content creation, and publishing.
Can I join if I already have a website?
Yes, you can join to refresh or redesign your current website with our help.
Do I need prior experience in web development?
No prior experience is required! The program is designed for beginners, though some familiarity with basic computer skills can be helpful.
What tools or platforms will we use to build the website?
You will learn about WordPress, themes and templates, Elementor Pro Page Builder and various plugins to enhance your website such as SEO, Legal requirements and a translator (if required).
What kind of website can I build in a week?
You will create the core essential pages for a business website such as a Home, About and Contact page. Your website can also capture enquiries through the contact form and to use for a Newsletter. The follow-on self study course enables you to modify additional pages as you develop your business. There are also add-on courses that can be purchased for blogs, payment and an e-commerce shop when required.
Will I need to purchase any software or tools?
You will need to purchase a Domain Name and Hosting for your website. We can recommend and help you with our preferred choice or you can set this up with a company of your choice.
How much time should I dedicate to the program each day?
There will be a live 1 hour Zoom session day 1-5 (mid-morning) for a demonstration of each step. Replay will be sent out after each session. You are welcome to come along with your live website to go through the steps or carry out the exercise following the session.
Will I be able to keep my website after the program ends?
Yes, you will retain ownership of your website. However, if you are using a paid platform or hosting, you will need to continue paying for ongoing services like hosting and domain renewal. You are also invited to take out your own subscription for year 2 of Elementor Pro or join our subscription at 75% discount.
What support will I receive during the program?
Support access to instructors via email, or via our Facebook support group during office hours and email support post course. Option to purchase 1:1 consultancy session if required.
What if I fall behind or can't finish in a week?
You will have lifetime access to all recordings of the live sessions as well as our online courses and the support group, so you can continue or catch up after the week is over.
Do I need a hosting provider or domain name before starting?
If you do not already have a domain name or hosting provider, then this will need to be set up before the program starts. We can help you set up your domain name and recommend our preferred partner (you can get also 10% discount).
What happens after I finish building my website?
After completing your website, you will be able to launch it and edit when required. You will also have lifetime access to our online courses and support group.
What if I have technical issues during the program?
In the event of a technical issue during the program, we will help you (as much as possible) to sort it out via your hosting provider or if regarding design be able to help you via email support.
